Fill in the Blank Friday

I always think that Lauren's fill in the blank Friday posts are fun, so join in if you want to have fun too!

1. My favorite place I've traveled to is Jamaica, and North Carolina, and California. Actually, just about everywhere. I traveled to Greece with my Dad a few years ago, my first international trip. It was an experience to say the least, I'm REALLY glad I went but both of us agree we would never go back. We are going to Disney in less than a month, that might just hold my vote for #1!

2. Italy and Ireland are places I'd love to go someday. We are going to Italy in September 2013 for our honeymoon!! yea!

3. I pass the time on a plane (or bus, or car ride or train) by reading. I'm alwaysssss reading. I can't sleep on planes, but reading a great book passes the time. I also love to dive into some good magazines too!

4. My three must-haves when I travel are my iPhone, a book and booklight, and either a cozy wrap/pashmina or a lightweight blanket (especially on a plane when it gets chilly)

5. My favorite travel companion is: my fiance Nick. I am NEVER on time for anything but work and I ALWAYS pack wayyyyy too much when I travel. Because Nick travels a lot for work, he teaches me all the tricks of the trade, plus we get to take advantage of his preferred status.

6. The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is when I was in Greece and I saw people protesting with flags and torches in the streets. I visited Greece when the riots were going on and it was a disaster. Thank goodness we were part of a travel group to keep us safe.

7. The most exotic food I've ever tried while traveling is Greek food. Again, traveling around Greece was quite an experience. They don't use refridgeration, so they cook food in the morning and then it sits out all day. Needless to say, the lamb and veal that I tried...was room temperature and pretty much coagulated. *GAG* My Dad jokes around and says that I came back a diabetic because I refused to eat anything but baklava and drink anything but Ouzo (licorice flavored liquor). Hey! When in Greece...

8. If I could live anywhere else, I'd live in South Carolina. I absolutely LOVE the south, and South Carolina is absolutely soulful. I would move there in a heartbeat, just to experience it for a few months.

9. I have been to nineteen states in the U.S.

Happy Friday Friends!

fill in the blank...monday

Lauren over at the little things we do does a fun post on Fridays that I have decided to take part in, but on Monday!

Here goes:

1) The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is: the exclamation point. I get excited about a lot of things that have been happening lately and when I tell people about it (through an email or text) I tend to use a lot of exclamation points.

2) Today I am thankful for: the phone call I got from my little brother. Well, he isn't so little anymore, he's turning 18 in April, BUT I do appreciate it when he calls for a pep talk or just to say hi. It makes me feel loved, that I'm his older sister and he still enjoys talking to me:o)

3) My best friend is: my boyfriend Nick. He knows everything there is to know about me and is always there for me to vent. He is respectful and understanding, loving and honest. I could not have found a more perfect guy<3

4) A quirky thing about me is: I crave fruit, and at weird times of the day. Most people enjoy something sweet such as ice cream or a piece of chocolate after they eat or late at night. Nope, not this girl. I love fresh fruit. I get the weirdest, most random cravings for them too such as oranges, apples and mangoes.

5. This weekend I: relaxed. I only had to work until noon both Saturday and Sunday this weekend so it gave me enough time to just come home and chill. Nick was so very nice enough to clean the house so that I could literally lay in bed and just rest. This coming week is going to be absolutely crazy with work and our 1 year anniversary together so I could use the rest while I can get it:o)

6. Something that worries me is: global warming. I don't think people understand how serious this is. Do you realize that polar bears are becoming quickly endangered due to global warming? The arctic ice is melting so rapidly, the polar bears have no land or ice to take shelter on. Unfortunately most of them will end up drowning:o(

7. On my nightstand you will find: cell phone charger cord, bedside lamp, Johnson and Johnson's bedtime lotion, Crabtree & Evelyn gardeners hand therapy, Bath and Body Works shea it isn't so foot creme and a picture that was given to me by my Dad.

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's fill in the blank Friday! Hop on over to Lauren's blog to join in:o)

1. I am a loving daughter/sister/girlfriend/best friend, girly-girl, overachiever, Philadelphia sports fan

2. I wish there wasn't so much hate in the world. I wish people were still able to sleep at night with their doors unlocked.

3. I like to sleep in on the weekends, read, explore new areas, learn new things and spend time with the people I love.

4. I can hardly wait until next weekend when Nick and I start painting our new apartment and start moving things in:o)

5. I hope I get the position with Starbucks that I've been interviewing for. It's a marketing/management position that I really think I could do well at.

6. I think I really need some coffee to get me through the rest of my shift here at work.

7. I was ECSTATIC that the Phillies won against the Giants last night and we get to play at home again!! GO PHILS!

What is everyone up to this weekend??

Fill in the Blank Friday

Lauren over at the little things we do has a fun little blog topic that she does every Friday, join in! It's a cute way for your blog pals to learn some new things about you!

1. The last thing I do before going to sleep is put Johnson & Johnson's Bedtime Lotion on. *It's not just for babies anymore lol* No more melatonin, no more sleep meds, just bedtime lotion. It's amazing, knocks me out everytime and I sleep the whole night through.

2. When I can't sleep I toss and turn. I'll flip my pillows, fluff my blanket, whatever it takes to get comfy.

3. The first thing I do when I wake up is look out the window. I remember being little and starting this when it would snow out. I would wake up and look to see how much snow fell overnight. Now I love to see the sunshine, there's something very refreshing about starting a new day.

4. When I'm tired I get really cranky. Just like a kid. It starts with yawning then I know by 11 pm I have to start getting ready for bed (if I'm not out somewhere having fun) because once my head hits the pillow, I'm out.

5. My dream bedroom would be anything Shabby Chic. I was really upset when Rachel Ashwell's show ended but thank heavens she continued writing books and designing bedroom accessories and furniture! Everything Shabby Chic is very practical and soft. Its usually whites, soft pinks and yellows. I just bought white ruffle Shabby Chic cotton sheets from Target the other day and since then I've been sleeping like a baby. They are super soft. I love big beds with fluffy blankets and pillows, and lots of candles:o)

6. If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be in North Carolina. I keep looking through pics from my vacation and wondering when I'll be back down there.

7. The longest sleep I've ever had was when I'm sick. I don't get sick that often at all because I take really good care of health. However, when I do get sick, the first thing I do is sleep. Usually I will sleep for almost 13 hours straight (yes, this has been done before) and I wake up feeling a million times better.

8. I sleep on my side most of the time. When I'm tossing and turning I'm all over the place, I usually end up on my back. I'm most comfortable on my side though.

9. When I sleep, I like to wear a t-shirt or tank top and cotton pj pants or shorts. In the winter I have to wear sweatpants because I get so cold at night (but we won't think about that now!).

10. My bedtime is usually 11 pm. You know you're getting old when you look at the clock and say "oh my gosh, it's only 9:30!? I'm exhausted!!"
