Wishful Wednesday*)

'I wish' I had Anthropologie as my personal closet and I could shop from it daily!

Anthropologie is one of those stores where I can walk in and find just about anything that I need. Being a busty lady, I have a hard time finding tops that are big enough in the chest but small enough in the waist area. Luckily, I can go to Anthro and the women there are such a big help. My favorite line of clothing lately is Free People, the clothes are very flowy, soft and flattering. They literally fit every woman! I am grateful that Anthro carries that line in their stores!


By the way ladies, if you happen to find yourself in this wonderful store, go hunt through the sales racks in the back, you won't be sorry!

Summer Makeup????

I'm a summer girl.

I live for it.

The hotter the better; I don't mind the humidity.

I love to be in the ocean, diving in and out of waves.

Sun, surf and sand puts the biggest smile on my face.

And speaking of face, I'm not a fan of wearing makeup in the summer

...unless I'm going out at night.

So ladies, how do you simplify your makeup routine during hot days?

I like to put a small braid in my hair to pull my bangs off to the side.

My makeup consists of SPF 30 sunscreen,

 (I do NOT want wrinkles at an early age and I tan really easily-even if I have SPF 50 on I get dark)

and lip gloss

 (my fav is Tangerine by Bobbi Brown)

But that's it.

I don't like the idea of makeup being caked on your face, even though I use Bare Escentuals and it lets your face breathe

--really it's the best, try it if you haven't done so already.

Do you wear makeup at the beach?

To workout?

Anytime you leave the house?

Or do you go sans makeup for the summer like I do??

I'm Back & Better Than Ever!

Friends, I am BACK and better than ever! I had the most AMAZING trip with Nick to North Carolina and have been extremely busy since then!

I did really well while I was away with keeping myself away from my new iPhone and not bringing a laptop with me. I have to say, it was wonderful. We had the most perfect weather all week long, the house we had to ourselves was beautiful and well, I was in heaven. We got to do everything I had on my list PLUS more!

Here are just a few pics from the trip:

Nick and I, we went out on a boat for a whole day with my family

I learned how to fish!!! I caught a bluefish, Nick caught a spanish mackerel

I took Nick to see the secret beach mailbox, absolutely a secret to Wrightsville Beach

We saw a Dave Matthews Tribute Band in Downtown Wilmington

On the ferry to Southport, love<3

Me and my cousins: Keegan, Cayman and Kai (Keegan is 12 and he TOWERS over me!)

We are going to Sea Isle City, NJ with my Dad's side of the family for the 4th of July weekend so there will be LOTS more pictures to come.

My cousin Amy had her baby (we were joking around saying he would be born while I was away-and sure enough, it happened!) on Wednesday, June 9th.

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

Friends, it is FINALLY Friday, which means I leave for North Carolina with Nick tomorrow!

I just have to say, I don't know if it's the fact that I absolutely love my time spent on Wrightsville Beach or the fact that I'm going to visit family or the fact that we get the house next door to my grandparents for the entire week...maybe its just the fact that Nick is going with me:o)

This trip, since we planned it two months ago, was destined to be a pretty special one. I just have that feeling that he is gonna absolutely love it.

So as I sign off I will tell you that even though I mentioned that I might be blogging while I'm on vacation I decided I will not. As much as I loveeeeeeeee my dear iPhone, I will not have it with me when I'm out (yikes, this means no calls, no texts, no blogs, no emails, nada.) I'll be back next Sunday friends!! Can't wait to catch up next week!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that our Philadelphia Flyers WON their game at home last night in overtime. We are one step closer to winning the Stanley Cup!! Go Flyers!




I am thankful that the new Twilight Eclipse novella is coming out tomorrow, just in time for my trip!

I am thankful that I leave for NC in 3 days!!!!!! I seriously cannot wait (I have repacked twice just to make sure I have everything).

I am thankful that all of my friends who had babies in the past month are all doing great! (both mommies and babies)

I am thankful that I can blog right from the app on my iPhone which means that once in awhile when I'm away I may just blog:o)

I am thankful for Bath and Body Works for making the most amazing gradual self tanning moisturizer (which I've used for years) so that I can have a pre-vacation glow before I get there without having to go in a tanning bed (which I will not do). It's called Glow and Steady, go get it it's the BEST!

I honestly feel like I'm cheating the others by picking Carrie because secretly I'd love to be them ALL but Carrie has always "wowed" me since the beginning. After I finished reading "The Carrie Diaries" (Candace Bushnell's newest novel) I loved her even more.
