Many of you know that I absolutely LOVED the show Sex and the City and I was devastated when they finished the last movie. I was so excited to hear that they are filming a second movie for the girls:o)
I think so many girls have this connection to Carrie because her character was so believeable. She went through many of the same experiences as the everyday girl would go through. Carrie Bradshaw was a wonderful writer who not only told stories about sex and relationships but the addictions that women today are faced with...shoes and fashion.
Here are some of my FAVORITE quotes from Carrie, ones that I constantly refer to:
“Maybe mistakes are what make our fate... without them what would shape our lives? Maybe if we had never veered off course we wouldn't fall in love, have babies, or be who we are. After all, things change, so do cities, people come into your life and they go. But it's comforting to know that the ones you love are always in your heart... and if you're very lucky, a plane ride away”
"I'm looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love. And I don't think that love is here in this expensive suite in this lovely hotel in Paris."

"No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you'll never get through it without your friends."
"I've spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live? I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes!"

Carrie: "How about I read you a little bit of my favorite poetry?” Aleksandr : “Please.”
Carrie [Reads from Vogue]: “Cocktails at Tiffany’s calls for classic charm. Oscar de la Renta sleeveless silk full skirted dress with black patent leather bow belt.” Now that is pure poetry.”
"We're so over, we need a new word for over."
Carrie: "Your girl is lovely Hubble." Big: "I don't get it," Carrie: "And you never will."
“But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.”

Carrie: "So really, we're getting married?" Big: "We're getting married. Should we get you a diamond?" Carrie: "No. No. Just get me a really big closet."
"Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us ...
Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits ...
No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never - Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves ... Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men ...
My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day - therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once ...
Be calm - love me - today - yesterday - what tearful longings for you - you - you - my life - my all - farewell. Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
Ever thine,
Ever mine,
Ever ours."
... The Immortal Beloved Letters, Ludwig van Beethoven
