Thankful Thursdays<3

I am thankful for my senior year of college, its been a lot of hard work but I'll be glad to be done. I'm also very thankful for the fact that I can be so independent in college, for example, being able to decide on whether or not I need a mental health day (aka today).

I am thankful that the Phillies made it to the World Series again this year and had the opportunity to challenge the Yankees all the way up to Game 6. They had a great season and they really fought hard. I am thankful for Brett Myers for setting Cole Hamels in his place after the game, so as not to cause drama on national tv, but I will be more thankful when the Phillies never hand Cole Hamels the ball to pitch ever again.

I am thankful for my date nights with my Dad, tomorrow we are going to see the Fourth Kind and hopefully Where the Wild Things Are (but I strongly doubt he'll want to go see that, lol).

I am thankful for being in good health. My great grandmother passed away very early Tuesday morning, she was 90. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to have known both of my great grandmothers for 25 years of my life. Both lived to be in their 90s, that is incredible. I am thankful that I haven't gotten the swine flu (knock on wood)-but I should be thankful for hand sanitizer and vitamin c pills. I am thankful that I am losing weight and my schedule is lighter this semester which allows me to be outside and workout more.

I am thankful for Johnson and Johnson's Baby Bedtime Lotion. I take a hot shower every night before I go to bed and as soon as I put that lotion on, I get super relaxed. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I am out cold. The lotion has lavender and other essential oils in it that help you sleep well through the night and I would highlyyyyyyy recommend it for anyone!

I am thankful for flameless candles. I love curling up on my couch and reading before I go to bed, especially when I light candles, its so relaxing. However, there have been plenty of nights when I woke up and found that I fell asleep and the candles were on...thank god they were battery operated.

I am thankful for www.paperbackswap.com. It is a great website that I saw featured in Real Simple magazine a few years ago, I've been using it ever since. It is a swap program that allows you to list books online that you want to swap with other members and the only thing you pay for is the price of postage to ship the book to them. You get one credit for every book you ship and it only costs one credit to order a book from another member. This prevents me from going into my beloved Barnes and Noble and spending tons of money on books that I will only read once. This also prevents me from going to the library and racking up a bunch of late fees (I've never been good with that).

Finally, I am thankful for Skype. I have been able to keep in touch with so many people who I'm not able to see as often as I'd like. It enables me to see my friends instead of just talking on the phone and hear their voices instead of just a text message. I think I am going to start a once a week tradition of catching up with each of my girlfriends on Skype:o) It's so nice to know they aren't that far away after all<3
